Domiciliary Service The IMVS provides a service to patients who are unable to attend an IMVS Patient Centre or Regional Laboratory because of mobility problems or the nature of their illness.

The service is available from Monday to Friday during business hours and is unavailable on public holidays and weekends.

To arrange a domiciliary visit, contact any IMVS Patient Centre on (08) 8222 3000 or your nearest regional laboratory.


Autologous Blood Collection The IMVS has established a programme for the collection of blood for autologous use throughout South Australia. Collections are performed at a number of sites serviced by the IMVS and include local hospitals, GP's rooms and IMVS regional laboratories.

The following IMVS laboratories will coordinate the collection and transport of blood for autologous use:

Collections can be arranged by contacting the IMVS laboratory or Patient Centre closest to the patient's home.

Biopsy Services Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) and bone marrow biopsy services are provided in some areas.

Arrangements can be made by contacting any IMVS Patient Centre, regional laboratory or the IMVS Call Centre on 8222 3000.


Breath Tests Many IMVS laboratories and patient centres are able to perform breath tests for various conditions.
