The Clifford Prize for Cancer Research will be awarded at the meeting

Welcome

The Barossa "Science amongst the Vines" meetings have been designed to draw together leading thinkers to discuss topics of emerging interest in an intimate setting conducive to vigorous debate. The second of these meetings will be held in the Barossa Valley from 16th to 19th November 2005 on the topic of "Signalling Networks". The meeting will focus on what constitutes a physiologically relevant signal and how sets of biochemical signals underlie cellular function.

The Meeting will be held at the Novotel Resort in the heart of the Barossa Valley and a few kilometres from the town of Tanunda. The Barossa Valley, arguably Australia's finest and most picturesque wine growing region, is about one hour from Adelaide, and offers marvellous oenological and gastronomic delights. We would also note that November, being late spring, is one of the optimal times to visit the Barossa Valley, as the days are already long but not yet too hot. We shall also endeavour, for those interested, to secure the services of some of the best vignerons for personal consultations.

We hope to see you at Barossa 2005.
