Electronic mail (email) allows the sending of messages via electronic methods one one user to another. Apart from simple text messages, an email can 'attach' one or more files to be sent with the main message. These attached files can be word processing documents, graphic images or in this case IMVS Pathology reports.

Other delivery methods
Apart from receiving reports via email, the IMVS can also send reports directly to your computer via modem, and via FTP. FTP transfer requires a permanent connection to the Internet.
