The following steps are currently only for Windows users. If you wish to receive reports directly via your modem with a Macintosh or Unix client, please contact IMVS Information Services.

To retrieve IMVS encrypted pathology reports, follow the steps listed:

  1. Download the IMVS client software
  2. Install and configure IMVS software
  3. Sign the request form that is printed during the setup and return to IMVS Information Services
  4. Allow a few days for processing, and you should begin receiving reports for any new tests you request.

1. Download the IMVS client software

To download the software, click on one of the following links. (For Netscape users, please hold down your shift key on the keyboard at the same time)

Windows 95/98/NT Users (32-bit) Download 32-bit setupimvsm32.exe (1.4MB)
Windows 3.x Users (16-bit) Download 16-bit setupimvsm16.exe (1.0MB)
2. Install and configure IMVS software
Run the downloaded setup directly. This will first extract the setup files to your temporary directory then run the install program. There are four distinct phases in the process.
  1. Obtaining configuration information
  2. Copying files to appropriate locations
  3. Modifying configuration files
These processes should be fairly self-explanatory, but please contact the IMVS Information Services if you require assistance.
3. Sign the request form that is printed during the setup
This form contains information entered during the setup procedure. Please sign the form and send it either by fax or mail to the IMVS Information Services.
4. Allow a few days for processing, and you should begin receiving reports.
You will be contacted by the IMVS to verify that the request form was received and that the setup was completed correctly.
